Wood Barreled Dry Gin
Distilled by Turicum Distillery GmbH.
Barrel time shows first: warm oak, a little vanilla and dry spice over the juniper. The dry gin bones are still there — pine, citrus peel, pepper on the finish — but rounder and slightly sweet from the wood. Tastes closer to a light spirit than a bright London Dry.

Tonic — Fever-Tree Indian Tonic Water, 1:2 — keep it short so the oak isn't washed out
Garnish — Orange peel

Equal parts, stirred over ice, orange peel.
Why this gin — The wood-aged weight of this Zurich dry gin stands up to Campari and vermouth where an unaged gin thins out, and the oak vanilla softens the bitter edge.
