Fever-Tree Premium Indian Tonic Water is a British-made tonic blending carbonated spring water with sugar, citric acid and natural flavourings including quinine. The quinine comes from Cinchona ledgeriana trees, known locally as 'fever trees', grown in the eastern hill ranges of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the botanical oils include bitter orange (Citrus aurantium) from a co-operative of citrus farmers in the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico. The producer intends it for use with gins, vodkas and fortified wines such as vermouth, fino sherry and white port.
