Gin Botanical

41% ABV

Specification

Bottle700 ml

Botanicalsjuniper, chamomile, linden blossoms, rosemary

Juniper leads, dry and piney, then chamomile arrives with its dried-apple, hay-like sweetness. Linden blossoms give a honeyed floral middle, and rosemary closes it out green and resinous, a little savoury. At 41% it stays soft in the mouth rather than hot, with a short herbal finish.

Serve — suggested, not sourced

TonicFever-Tree Indian Tonic Water, 1:2 — enough quinine to hold the juniper up without flattening the chamomile

GarnishA sprig of rosemary, clapped once between the palms

Gin & It

gin · sweet vermouth

Gin and sweet vermouth stirred, served up, no ice in the glass.

Why this gin — The rosemary and chamomile meet the vermouth's own wormwood and dried herbs, and at 41% this gin sits with sweet vermouth without needing to shout over it.
