Recognisably Hendrick's at heart: cucumber and rose over juniper, but pitched louder at 43.4%. The Grand Cabaret name promises theatre, and the extra strength delivers it — brighter citrus lift, a peppery juniper snap mid-palate, and a long dry finish where the floral side lingers.

Cocktails
Gin & Tonic
Long, dry and bitter-edged, the tonic's quinine pulling against the gin's botanicals while the lime wedge sharpens both. Refreshing rather than contemplative. The gin has to hold its shape against all that dilution: juniper and citrus carry through, where delicate florals tend to vanish.
Hendrick's cucumber-and-rose signature needs length and bubbles to open out, and Grand Cabaret's extra couple of degrees keeps it from thinning in a full highball.
White Negroni
Bitterness here is bright rather than heavy: gentian's clean, rooty bite against the honeyed weight of blanc vermouth, with grapefruit oil sharpening the top. The gin has to push back, so juniper and a firm spine keep it from turning syrupy, though a floral bottle finds room in the finish.
Rose and cucumber ride the grapefruit oil rather than fighting it, and the 43.4% peppery juniper snap gives gentian something firm to push against so the blanc vermouth's honey never turns syrupy.
Bee's Knees
Honey rounds off the citrus edges, so the sour never bites, and the orange juice softens the lemon while giving the drink weight. That ease is the problem the gin has to solve: juniper and pepper keep it from collapsing into breakfast, and a floral bottle finds room to speak inside the honey.
Honey is exactly the setting where Hendrick's rose can speak, while the brighter citrus lift and peppery juniper of this louder 43.4% bottling keep the lemon-and-orange sour from sliding into breakfast.
